Why do computers need refurbishment?
Most computers restored to like-new condition only have minor software or hardware issues, sometimes through use, accidental damage, or sometimes from a manufacturing flaw at the factory where it was produced.
Common issues also arise from cyber hacks, old software, and overheated systems. To prevent such issues, install updates as necessary and turn off your machine rather than leaving it on standby constantly.
What is our refurbishment process?
We run a full diagnostic check to ensure all issues are discovered and rectified. Our work includes the following essentials:
Core Diagnostics
Our engineers will test the motherboard, CPU, memory, hard disk drive, optical disk drive and both CPU and system fans. We use diagnostic software to run thorough tests.
Cable and Battery Tests
We run a Portable Appliance Test (PAT) to ensure all the power supply electrics work for charging and that the charge is correct. A leakage test and functional tests look at issues that can’t be picked up by the human eye. New batteries are installed and checked.
Security Updates
We apply all of the most recent security updates and wipe all passwords and settings so the machine reverts back to its default state.
Hard Drive Wiped and Tested
We use a powerful application to totally wipe the hard drive and memory so no data will exist when you buy the computer. This ensures you have the full memory to utilise.
Throughout this process the best solutions are actioned, such as replacing parts, adding new thermal compounds, replacing case plastics and metals and air compression spring cleaning. Read more about this entire process here.

You will see no signs of previous owners, should it have had them, and a thoroughly clean machine inside and out; we also remove any stickers, badges and markings.
